In a true sign of the times, the mansion that was allegedly F. Scott Fitzgerald’s inspiration for Daisy’s mansion is being slated for demolition. The current owner bought it 7 years ago for $17 million and cannot afford the upkeep and taxes on the property, much less the cost of renovation.
They were going to get the demolition permits today, then plan to raze the property to make way for 5 new mansions at $10 million each. That is a lot of land!
